It was in a friend's basement jam session when Jesse first picked up an old National Lingerie washboard and the rhythms started ringing.

After a successful stint as the rhythm man in the Blueglass Band and The Missouri River Old Time Champions, Jesse signed on with Snakebeard Jackson.  He adds the magic touch to every song he plays. He has tried Tin, Brass, Glass, and Zinc style boards to get his sound. Jesse also plays other percussion in the band, such as congas, shakers, and anything else that makes noise.


Jesse's fan base in the band could be described as a cult following.  He loves the music and is consistently awed to see many people moving uniquely to the same rhythm. 
In his other life Jesse is a biologist and does environmental work on South Dakota’s rivers and streams.
